Sarah & The Romans will perform at the Danetzare Festival in Erfurt.
In November 2017, Sarah & The Romans released their debut album First Date. It garnered positive reviews throughout Europe, with CountryMusicNews.de summing it up as follows: “Honest, passionate, classic. First Date by Sarah & The Romans delivers classic bluegrass and country music at its finest, all while hitting its own note. It’s a must-listen!”
The positive reviews for the album “First Date” also attracted the attention of organizers. As a result, Sarah & The Romans will perform at the Danetzare International Folklore Festival in Erfurt. The Croatian band will continue their collaboration they started last year with the Cripple Creek Cloggers who hail from the USA.
The dance ensemble Cripple Creek Cloggers has been around for over 50 years. They come from Murfreesboro, which is located near Nashville, Tennessee. The dancers perform the so-called “Appalachian-style square dance” with typical step moves, also known as clogging. This dance style originated in the Appalachians with the first settlers from England, who brought songs, dances, and stories from their homeland.
The Danetzare Festival will take place from June 28 to July 2, 2018 in Erfurt, the capital of Thuringia. Sarah & The Romans will be on stage for every day of the event.
