Drie AGR Television Records artiesten op Universal Music’s “Sounds like Nashville” compilatie
Universal Music Germany has just released a 3 CD box set with a total of 60 country songs. “Sounds Like Nashville” accompanies the major label’s new website, which is at the same URL, is part of the Udiscover website, and is intended to make the record company’s country release public.
The three CDs present Universal Music artists from the various types of country music – “Americana & Folk”, “Modern Country” and “Tradition & Roots”. Fifty-seven songs are from the Universal Music stable, the other three from AGR Television Records, the only external label asked to provide songs.
The Wallek Bros. celebrate their major label compilation debut under “Americana & Folk”. The two newcomers from Germany contribute their version of John Carter Cash’s “Bitter Harvest”. “Modern Country” brings Canadian Kevin Chase with “Whole Lotta Honey”. And who could contribute a better song for “Tradition & Roots” than Mary Sarah, who – along with the man himself – covers Willie Nelson’s hit “Crazy”.
“Sounds Like Nashville” is available exclusively in German-speaking countries (Germany, Austria and Switzerland).
