Pam Jackson releases her sophomore album “Dream a Little Bigger”
“Dream a Little Bigger” is the second studio album from singer Pam Jackson with songs written by some of the best songwriters from Nashville under contract at Universal Music Publishing.
Pam Jackson finds it hard to choose a favorite song on the album as so many of the mean different things to her. “As an artist, I always record music that really speaks to me, and this album is no exception. There are so many evocative songs on the album covering everything from the excitement of new love to the doubt and suspicion, which is something that can overshadow many relationships, and heartache which sadly finds us all from time to time.”
Pam Jackson about the songs on “Dream a Little Bigger”
The country singer continues: The title track “Dream a Little Bigger” is a wonderful, upbeat song about bouncing back after heartbreak. The song “Stay” by Florian Stoelzel really struck a chord with me, especially the line “struggling with patience against the monsters in my head, wish I could break them now instead”. I think this song is a great representation about how people struggle internally with anxiety and mental health in general. It’s something I experience myself and was really determined to record this song.”
“One of my favourite tracks “Web of Lies”, written by Lori McKenna, Liz Rose and Hillary Lindsey, is a real kick ass empowering track.”
Also, the album includes two more songs from the talented Sandy Mason, “Fly on the Wall” and “Bad Taste”. Pam Jackson previously recorded “Once Upon Another Time” by Mason, which was released on her last EP.
As a huge fan of Paul Overstreet’s work and the song he wrote with Patrick Jason Matthews “Unlove Me”, that has been in Pam Jackson’s repertoire for more than 20 years, she was thrilled to finally record it on an album.
Pam Jackson could talk about each song at length, but the last one she will mention is “Line in a Song”. “When I heard the words “how we went from forever, to a box of old love letters” I was hooked. It’s a stunning song and I’ve had wonderful feedback from anyone I’ve played it for. I really hope you enjoy listening to my songs as much as I enjoyed recording this album”.
