Michael and Stefan Koch from the LenneBrothers Band celebrate their stage anniversary

40 years of rockabilly and rock ‘n’ roll are now going out into the world from the Lennestrand in Sauerland. It’s hard to believe, but Michael “Ele” Koch and Stefan “Teddy” Koch from the LenneBrothers Band will be celebrating their 40th anniversary on stage in 2024. On February 25, 1984, the two brothers played their first gig with their former band The Lennerockers. The concert for the carnival celebration of the Hohenlimburg Riding and Driving Club took place in the restaurant of the Kirchenberg Stadium.

Almost exactly 40 years later, the anniversary concert with the LenneBrothers Band, which has been in existence since 2017, will take place at Werkhof Hohenlimburg on 17 February 2024 (Kulturzentrum Werkhof, Herrenstraße 17, 58119 Hagen-Hohenlimburg). Between these two concerts, the founding members of both the Lennerockers and the LenneBrothers Band, Michael and Stefan Koch, have played an impressive 3,000 gigs in 25 countries and even set a world record (see Guinness World Records 2003, p.258, “Highest concert” – in an airplane at a height of 11948.16 m in front of 250 fans).

Rock ‘n’ roll hits such as “Boogie Woogie Queen”, “High Class Lady” and “Rocking and Trucking”, all written by Stefan Koch, now have many millions of clicks on YouTube. Self-penned hits such as “High Class Lady” are still covered by many bands today and are a must at any rock ‘n’ roll record hop or country line dance event worldwide. At every live show by the LenneBrothers Band, you can immediately see that all the musicians are seriously having fun, as the saying goes. And the spark jumps over. Every concert by the band is a highlight, pure rock’n’roll.

The new single “Mississippi Delta Blues” will be released from the LenneBrothers Band’s current album “Boogie Woogie Queen – LenneBrothers Band sings the Best of The Lennerockers” on February 12, 2024. All rock’n’roll fans can look forward to this one – it’s going to be a big hit again.Boogie Woogie Queen – LenneBrothers Band sings the Best of The Lennerockers

LenneBrothers Band releases live album

In September 2019, the LenneBrothers Band will be releasing their first live album

Rock ‘n’ roll fans have something to look forward to – this autumn will also see the release of a new album from the LenneBrothers Band. At the beginning of the year, the band recorded a concert for the album, which is now due to be released.

On the 16th February 2019, the LenneBrothers Band played a benefit concert at the fire station in Hagen-Hohenlimburg for Reh-Henkhausen’s volunteer fire brigade. Also playing were the Bobcats from Great Britain and the Sinners from Hamburg.

The LenneBrothers Band played the Lennerockers’ greatest hits, such as “High Class Lady” and “Boogie-Woogie Queen”, as well as many of their own songs, including “Rocking and Trucking” and “Picking Berrys”. “Rock Around the Fire Station” was written especially for the concert and this song will, of course, be appearing on the album too. A total of 17 songs from the concert have managed to make it onto the album.

Three other live recordings appear as bonus tracks, recordings which the band made eight days before the concert at the Country Music Meeting in Berlin.

The album “Rocking Live Around the Fire Station” comes out on the 27th September 2019 and will be available both on CD and digitally.

LenneBrothers Band visits Kilometer 330

9. July 2018
LenneBrothers Band

LenneBrothers Band will be a guest on the new season of “Kilometer 330”.

The TV-show “Kilometer 330” aired from February 19, 1989 to September 6, 1992 on RTL Plus now known as RTL Television. Some of the episodes were repeated on MDR in 1998 and 1999. This popular TV show is now set for a comeback and the LenneBrothers Band will be there to kick it off.

The band will perform two songs for the first remake episode of “Kilometer 330”, both of which are from the “Choo Choo Billy Train” album: “Rocking and Trucking” and “Great to be Alive”. Since “Kilometer 330” traditionally features German songs, Michael and Stefan Koch will provide German lyrics for the two songs. For fans of LenneBrothers Band those recordings will also be available under the title “bei Kilometer 330” for download and streaming after the TV show aired.

The first episode of “Kilometer 330” will be recorded from August 26 – 28, 2018 at the Bonanza Saloon in Bissegg, Switzerland. Jonny Hill will be return as the show’s host and he will be assisted by Linda Feller. Airing is scheduled for mid- to late-November on Melody TV. It is broadcast via satellite (Astra) and is also available on select cable networks in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Liechtenstein, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.

The LenneBrothers Band records a Christmas album

6. June 2018
LenneBrothers Band

The LenneBrothers Band will release its first Christmas album in 2018.

The weather. Yes, the weather. Some countries in Europe experienced the hottest May in over 100 years. Storms swept across other countries and caused more rainfall in a 24-hour period than they would normally get over the entire month of May. Still other regions had hail and so much rain fell in The Sunshine State of Florida over last 10 days that its name no longer seemed to fit. No matter where you look, the Christmas spirit is nowhere to be found.

That obviously makes it hard for the LenneBrothers Band to be in the mood to usher in the Christmas spirit. Even so, Michael and Stefan Koch as well as Claus Coxx and Andreas Kässens have no choice since the LenneBrothers Band is set to drop its first Christmas album this year.

Back in the day when their band was known as The Lennerockers, Michael and Stefan Koch wanted to record a Christmas album, but something always got in the way. LenneBrothers Band can now turn this dream into a reality. The currently untitled Christmas album is said to have 14 songs. Eight are original compositions and the other six are covers including “Jingle Bells,” “What a Merry Christmas This Could Be,” and “Run Run Rudolph.”

They will start recording the album as early as June for its release date on October 19th, 2018 as a CD and for download.

LenneBrothers Band signs with AGR Television Records

9. December 2016
LenneBrothers Band

The rock ‘n’ roll, country, and rockabilly combo LenneBrothers Band has signed a record deal with AGR Television Records.

The Lennerockers had been making music together since 1984. When the band announced their split in spring 2016, their fans were, naturally, extremely disappointed. Now, two of The Lennerockers’ founding members, Michael “Ele” Koch und Stefan “Teddy” Koch, have decided not to hang up their music hats just yet. The two musicians have music in their genes, and not bearing to leave it behind them, have now founded the LenneBrothers Band.

As the name LenneBrothers Band obviously suggests, the two are brothers, who will continue to take to the stage together. Joining them will be Andreas Kaessens on drums and Claus Coxx on the slap bass, both of whom regularly appeared with The Lennerockers. The LenneBrothers Band’s music will reflect the mix of rock ‘n’ roll, country, and rockabilly that previously proved a hit for the Lennerockers.

The band intends to take a break at the start of 2017, to write songs for a new studio album. The album is scheduled to be launched by AGR Television Records in physical and digital form at the end of May 2017. The debut album is as yet untitled. For the LenneBrothers Band, there was no question about signing a record deal with AGR Television Records, since the two had already worked together successfully for several years. Lead singer Michael “Ele” Koch said of the new contract: “We’re in very good hands with AGR Television Records. We enjoy artistic freedom and are supported creatively in realizing and spreading our vision of music. That’s why we’ve signed a five-year deal with an experienced team and huge potential for the future!”

In spring 2017, the LenneBrothers Band will also be playing live on tour again. A number of concerts are already on the tour schedule for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Great Britain. The tour will kick off on March 18, 2017 with the big “Shake Rattle and Roll Weekender” in Great Yarmouth, Great Britain.
